On April 21, 2026, I took a Uber taxi to Sai Kung Public Pier
I reached berth 3: Jockey golf club pier.
Boats run every 20 minutes from 6.40 am. There is no need to pay upon boarding.

You can also arrive spontaneously, without booking.
It is the only public golf club in Hong Kong.
All the others (EDEN HGC, Shek O, Clearwater bay, etc.) are private, you need to buy a very expensive membership or an invitation from members to play together.
I arrived to the club’s pier in 15 minutes, passing by Sharp Island.
Then take a minibus to the clubhouse.
You need to go to the checkout right away.
The golf club on the island has several courses:
North (18 holes)
South (18 or 9 holes, Twilight) is a little easier and there are fewer restrictions.
East (18 holes) — more difficult and the views are more picturesque.
Important! You need to have Handicap for at least one player.
You can take a non-Handicap player with you to play on weekends after 9 a.m. (only on the South field).
So, at the checkout you show a Handicap, a passport, pay for a boat (round trip), a golf cart (you need to show your Hong Kong driving license, but other country also ok), rental of clubs and a fee for playing.
In total, about 1700 HKD went out for a 4-hour game on the South course (18 holes).
That’s it, then go opposite to the rental window, they give you clubs and keys to a golf cart.
You need to go to the right field yourself (you need to know the exact route yourself).
There is no assistant, no service, no staff.
On the south field, the game starts at hole 10. The golf cart has an LCD display with information.
Everything is set to flow and there is a very tight timing.
Each hole is given less than 10 minutes.
There possible to finish the game after 9 holes (half a route), that what we did.
The golf club building has changing rooms, a shower, a restaurant, an equipment and clothing store, as well as a training center.
Then took golf club charter bus to the pier, and take boat 15 min to Sai Kung Public Pier. after, it took 40 minutes to get to the center of Hong Kong by Uber.
