Disney Hong Kong Park is one of the youngest parks in terms of age and the smallest in size, compared to the other four world parks. But despite this, about five million tourists visit the park every year. It covers an area of 126 hectares of land. There is a large lake next to the park.
There are two hotels in the park itself, where there are very cozy rooms and swimming pools, which is very convenient if you come to relax for a few days. The park is located between hills and a mountain, and from the point of view of Feng Shui, this is the most correct location, because it creates a protective effect. There are five different themed areas in the park that you definitely need to get around.
main street
It is a long alley that resembles the American style of a long time ago, but in an updated Chinese manner. The entrance to the park starts from here.
Walking along the main alley, you can hear music playing, look at vintage cars, go to any shop or souvenir shop and buy something to remember you by. In addition, you can visit any restaurant and enjoy excellent dishes of Chinese and Vietnamese cuisine.
Fantasyland
Little visitors will love this small country, as they will meet famous characters from their favorite fairy tales and animated films. In the very center of the fantastic part of the park is the castle of the Sleeping Beauty, which is guarded by a fire-breathing dragon. The children will also see their favorite honey lover, Winnie the Pooh, the beautiful Snow White and her friends the seven dwarfs, and the wooden Pinocchio.
There are also fun attractions in this Country where you can ride on carousels, visit a cinema with a 3D effect and use special glasses to enjoy your favorite cartoons in three-dimensional form. There is a stage near the Sleeping Beauty Castle where Mickey Mouse appears every day after dark and illuminates the castle with a multitude of lights that create a magical and truly fabulous view.
Adventure land
In all other fairy–tale parks of this kind, there is no such large theme area – the Land of Adventures, as in Hong Kong Disneyland. Once here, the eye will surely fall on the bright and spectacular show of the Lion King. A very popular and fascinating attraction is “Journey to the world of the jungle”. Guests of the park have the opportunity to swim along the African river, encountering crocodiles, hippos and elephants along the way, as well as fiery caves and underwater geysers. Sailing on rafts, you can get to the house, which flaunts on a large tree made of artificial material and in which Tarzan lives, and you need to get there by a suspension road.
Toy story area
This theme area is the newest for Disneyland, which was created only for Asia. Here you can get a lot of positivity and experience an unforgettable adventure not only for children, but also for adults. In this area there are characters of the famous cartoon about toy story, such as Sheriff Woody, dinosaur Rex.
Toyland also has some of the most breathtaking attractions. And in Andy’s small courtyard there is an incredibly racing car that causes a huge rush of adrenaline, especially at the moment of rising to a height of 27 meters in a U-shaped arc. In addition, you can even make a parachute jump.
Tomorrowland
Before entering this themed area, it is advisable for everyone to put on a spacesuit, because the zone carries with it space and star themes, into the world of the new and unknown, into the world of our future. Wearing a spacesuit, you can go to the planet to visit Stitch, who is already waiting for a photo session with him. An unforgettable sight can be experienced by visiting the brightest attraction, “Star Mountain”. There is a boarding in small wagons, and the train begins to move into a huge black hole, because this attraction is like a roller coaster, only with a feeling as if you are in a galaxy with many planets and stars. It is completely dark and after climbing, there is a sharp slide down, which causes a huge number of emotions that simply cannot be expressed in words. After driving all the way, the courageous Buzz Lightyear (Svetik) will be waiting at the exit, who attacks bad robots and with whom you can also capture on camera.
In addition, the future zone has a rocket on which you can ride, a spaceship and a time machine, as well as take part in star battles and play various video games. Another interesting place in the park is the Grizzly Gorge. It feels like you’re in the Wild West. The journey begins with a Large Grizzly Mountain and continues along the road, which is decorated with wild landscapes. Mischievous bears and various funny water surprises may be encountered along the way.
Since the park itself is not very large, you can move around it using an old-fashioned train that makes only two stops in the park itself. And in order to get from the park to the hotel, you should take the bus. After all the themed areas have been seen and all the attractions have been experienced, the sky above Disneyland is illuminated by a variety of fireworks. This spectacle is the end of the evening and is the most wonderful and magical.
The whole family can also celebrate Chinese New Year, Christmas, Halloween and various summer holidays that are held every year in the park. The most important thing to consider when coming here is that it is simply impossible to get around and explore the entire park in one day. Therefore, it is suggested for tourists to immediately take tickets to Disneyland for 2 days. And if you stay in any of the two hotels located in the park, then tickets will be discounted. Thus, having visited Disneyland in Hong Kong at least once, you will definitely want to come back here again.
